Well we have been here for a month now and have found it is hotter then it is suppose to be durning the day time hours and has been nice in the eveings (thank goodness) of course Jerry loves the weather as the heat does not bother him as much as it does me, this morning was just great a nice 58 degrees and so far should be a very nice day as not supposed to get any higher then 82, hope this is true!! The R V park we are staying in this summer is way more primtive then we were told, I do belieive it is more for tents and pop-ups and also travel trailers, all the other workampers are in fifth wheels and have been coming here for four years, two of the couples say it will be their last as they want to go else where for a change, came blame them as I would not want to come back for a second year, all our co-workers are very nice couples and really have taken to the ones right next to us, they work in Leesburg in the winter months really the park is in Fruitland Park not far from where we lived and we had applied there for last winter but they were all filled up, it is a youth camp and Ellen and Henry said they love going back there and have been doing so for four years, said the people treat them great! She is a retired school teacher and he retired from the service. They love working with the kids.
We are enjoying our time here, just would not enjoy more then one season here, as it would get old with no activties for us older people, our days off we have been out exploring what is all around us, been to some of the near by towns, they are quint and have lots of shops and antique shop thast we still like to wonder thru also been going for bike rides, which has been fun and cooling. Went to Minga Falls the other day had to climb 160 steps and then a little trail, but was worth every step we did as it was a sight to see, took a few photos.
We had company last week-end our friends Bob & Karen came for the week-end, we at first thought they would be able to stay here in the park in one of the cabins, but after we got here found out the cabins are just like a tent only in a small building, no air or water, just a place to sleep, for people who do not like to sleep on the ground!! So they stayed off site about two miles from park in a motel, we enjoyed their visit and was a fast two and a half days of fun!
Had a nice surpise yesterday our nephew Scott and wife Rebecca stopped by for a short visit, he had let us know they would be in ther area with two other couples for vacation and lots of bike riding around the mountains and would try to stop, were glad they did was a quick visit but very nice to see the both of them.
Thats about all for now, hope all are doing well and enjoying your summer!
