Hi to all, wanted to update my story about trains and prison's, as you all know we are in Ormond Beach Fl. and there is a train near by so near sounds like its coming thru at times, don't think we have ever been that close, lots of noise, and then we had to go to Leesburg for Jerrys Dr and on the way about 20 to 25 miles guess what we passed a prison!!!!!!!!!!!! We were led to beleive that this was a quiet small park, well it is a small park and the park itself is quiet, but lots of noise from the train and planes and we are on a busy highway, think next time we will check all this out first, I will ask more questions about all these things. The people who own the park are nice so that does help and the work is not hard, in fact not enough work for me! As Jerry said we can take anything for short time periods. Am sure we will get used to the train noise and not even hear it after a while, we will see. All else is good and the weather is getting better, not so humid as when we first got here. Thank goodness!
Wishing all a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Nov. 7,2009
Well we have had a very busy last few days, I had a dentist appt. on Thurs. morning in Leesburg, so we made a day of it and went all over the place stopped at a few thrift stores and found a few small items, also a pretty top that I don't think anyone has ever had on their body before, at the big cost of $.50, don't you just love it!
Friday we spent the day with some friends we had made in AZ. who were also workampers, they now live in Flagger Beach and are just loving it, found out after two years on the road wanted to be back in a home, well they have a nice place thats backs up to a marsh area, makes it nice and private and they are three blocks from the beach, we went to farmers market and of course some thrift stores as Lee likes them, as much as we do, her husband Leigh not so much but he was very patient with us then onto their favorite place to eat on the beach called Finn's, we sit up on the upper deck overlooking the ocean and all our food was very good indeed! Was a fun day and nice to be able to renew our friendship.
Back out there again today had read about a big yard sale so thought we would hit it this am, not as big as the ad said but was nice to look around, spent a whole $.90, so I am a happy camper, went to breakfast, so that was also nice, then onto the big flea market in Daytona, walked all over and got lots of exerise, this was all new stuff, not Jerry's kind of flea market but he did need the walking and that was good for him and me also, I think I tried him out, will res tup tomorrow.
I have signed up for a big sale on the 21st so I can try selling my jewerly and other items that I have been making, so everyone keep a good thought for me! Will let you know how I did afterwards.
Posting some photos from yesterday, one of the Page's and a couple of the ocean, we stopped to take on the way home.

Oct. 21, 2009
The Balloon Festival was beautiful, just seeing all those hot air ballons go up one right after the other was worth going to N.M. for was a very fun morning and a very early one also as we had to be on the bus by 5:15, we were really glad we had signed up for the bus ride as it took us one and one half hours to get there, most of that time was sitting in line to get into the park, there was a special place for bus's thank goodness or we might still be sitting in line, when we left to go back to park only a half hour ride! Anyway all was a good day and got some really neat photos.
We left N. M. for the east coast right after getting back to park and were on the road for three nights and four days, arrived at my sister Linda's in S. C. late on Tuesday, Jerry took the pretty way and told me there would be some mountains, so I said ok, I should have known better one of the roads we were on was nothing but swicth backs, was glad to get off that and he said he didn't know!!!! He knew, won't beleive him again about mountain roads, just can't trust him when it comes to going for pretty rides. Anyway we are now in Ormond Beach at a small RV park for the winter, when we got here it was humid and hot, not the Oct's that I remember, I was always ready for the cool down by Oct. it has now gotten better, thank goodness, or I think I would go back to AZ were the humindy is low very, very low!! But I would have to most likely go by myself! (HA-HA)
Thats about all for the update, hope all are doing well.

Sept. 27,2009
After leaving OR. we stopped in Wellington UT. so Jerry could go to the dinosour musem there, stayed there for a few days, just to catch up with everything like buying food and doing the laundry, then onto Moab, went to the Arches National Park, very beautiful to see, I have to say one of the best things we did before starting out on our trip is get a Sr. Pass from the National Parks, only cost $10.00 and it lasts a life time and gets you in all the National parks, it has saved us a lot of money.
Now in Durgrano, CO. for four nights, we were going to do the train ride thru the mountains, but was a little more then we wanted to spend so we did the 200 hundred mile drive instead, was glad we did as we could stop when we wanted and got a lot of good photos, also took the tram up too a view point at one of our stops and that was free.
We are now in N.M. for the balloon festival which we have tickets for on the 3rd of Oct. so we are able to day trip from the park we are staying in which is between Santa Fe and Albuquerque, so yesterday went into Santa Fe for the day, had a fun day, had lunch @ Berts Burgers, they had won a contest for the best burgers on a cook off on TV which I had seen a while back so wanted to go there, they were good but my own are just as good, so Jerry and I thought. Jerry went off to a car show today not to far from the park, I choose to stay at home to do things I wanted to do.
Was thinking about some different things as most of the parks we, have stayed in have been by train tracks and we can hear the trains in the distance,so when I thought about it when I was growing up we lived not far from the train station and so we could hear the trains when going by and also with-in at least 15 mile there was a prison. Jerry and I have lived in three states, since getting married, of cousre we started in MD., then VA. and FL. all the homes we lived in were near enough that we could hear the trains passing and all had a prison near by, so when I starting hearing the trains in the parks where we stay I checked to see if there was a prison near by and most of the places there was indeed one near by. Just thought that was interesting so I wanted to share.
That's all for now will write more after going to the Balloon Festival!

OHHHHHHHHHHHH No!
Been a while hope all my family and friends are doing very well, have a little story to tell you as you know we were all sit to go on a cruise to Alaska on the 29th and we did indeed go and had a great time, I just love being treated like a Princess and being waited on for a whole week, plus we saw lots of good sites, we did the inside passage and had very good weather while in port and were told that this was the first cruise to leave Seattle in Aug. that had no rain in port. Had a couple of rough sea nights the first two out and the six night on the way back it was the worst of the three. Any way on the way to the RV park that we were booked into for two weeks and that we could leave our RV on site while gone, I always called about an hour from RV park to get directions from where we turn off and I did so on the 28th, we had pulled into rest stop to make call and take a break, Oh what a good thing that I am in the habit of doing that as when I called to get directions, I told the lady that answered the phone where we were and she prceeds to tell me how far way we are from park and I said oh no we are only about 30 miles out, she said not from what you just told me, so ask where she was, guess what she was in OR. I said no we are booked into the one in Snoqualmie, WA. anyway they had booked us into wrong park, so had to call the reservations number, and I am wondering just what we are going to do as some parks will not let you leave your RV for more then 24 hours with out their approval, so told the young lady at the reservation place what had just happen, she wasn't sure what to do, but it was their mistake as I told her when I made the reservations, I had to spell the name of the town and the girl told me how to say it, well that park is no longer there, so she did find us another park that had an opening that was not far from 1st one and was in our program. So we arrive about an hour later get sit up in spot and go to check in at the office to see if they wanted us to leave keys, in case something would come up where they would need to get in and the lady on the desk said of you can't leaveRV on a site unless you have pre-approval, I said I thought the reservations placetook care of that, she had told all is ok, well long story short, she findly got the manager to let us put in dry storage and said when we get back to come see her and she would give us a spot for the remainer of our stay!! We really wanted to be on the site for the electric for frig. but at that point we did not have a choice, we would have to leave it on propane so frig would stay cool, I had used most of our meat, thank goodness as when we got back the propane had went out, but only had been off long enough to defrost the freezer, so di not loose much, still was beterr then having to find some where else to leave and then we would have had to pay for it, that would have been a most exspensed cruise!!! So all is indeed very good and we were able to spend a little time in Seattle and went up in the space needle and to Pipe's market what a place that is.
We left Seattle on the 11th and stayed in Pendleton, OR @ a park called Wildhorse Resort & Casino, Jerry had a nice birthday dinner there and won a few dollars, stayed for two nights so we could take the tour of the underground, they build a city over the old one, was interesting. They were getting ready for their big rodeo week an we were able to see the big parade, got some good photos, had a very good day was tried when got back home.
We are on the road again and in a park where they had Wi-fi so am able to get this all updated, we will go onto Utah tomorrow and might stay in Price for a couple of nights then onto Moab for about three days. We also gained an hour today.
More next time out, so that's a wrap for now. I will try to get some photos in.

While in OR. we did go to the town named Sisters I had it wrong and called it Three Sisters, it's just the mountains called Three Sisters, anyway it is a neat little town and had a fun day there. Bend is also a very nice town, much larger then Sisters. We are in a small town called Mossyrock about 100 miles from Seattle, stayed first four night at a park on the lake, very peaceful and relaxing, we leave tomorrow for Seattle and am getting excited as we go on the cruise on Sat. can hardly wait to be treated like a PRINCESS!!! As you know I only need to take care of me when on a cruise, just love it.
When we get back from cruise will spend the next six days in Seattle to sight see and then head toward N. M., will make a few stops along the way and be in Santa Fe around the 24th of Sept.
Am doing the cloths today and will clean the RV after to get all ready to leave in the morning. Jerry started with a cold on Tues. so am trying to get that under control so he will fell better when we leave.
About all for now, hope all are doing well and staying healthy and also enjoying the close of summer, fall has always been one of my favorite times of the year, with the cooler temps coming in.

Hi to all, wanted to update what we have been doing since I last wrote on blogg.
Most of July was spent close to R V park and to visit some small towns in the area, it was very hot in Avery and all around there, most of the people that live in the area year round said it was most unusual to be that hot, got up to 102 in the parkso I stayed inside with the air on when it was like that. Did get to Mark Twain's cabin to see it and it is a one room cabin with a big fire place, had been restored between 1995 & 2005 as the elements had taken its toll, fir place was still the orginal and some of the logs. He only spent one year there in that area!
We did go to Yosemite for the day we choose a good day for that as not to hot, it was very nice, but I have to say out of all the National Parks we have been to, for me the Bryce Cayon was by far the most awesome! I would go back there again and second best would be Zion.
We were able to leave Avery early as the park we were working in was not as busy as they thought they would be, so the manager gave us a choice to leave early, so we took her up on it as we had seen all we came to see in that area. We are in Bend OR. for a couple of weeks, it is a nice town and very busy with lots to do & see, will go to a town called Three Sisters some time this week, everyone we talked to said not to miss it, also there is the three sisters mountains. Will go on to WA. when we leave here.
We both are doing find and hope all my family and friends are doing the same.

Tuesday Morning
Wanted to finish what I had started yesterday before I forget what I was going to write!
First back to Lake Tahoe, I will download some photo's one is of the lake and the mountains behind the lake what a sight to see as it was 85 degrees and a beautiful day the lake was so pretty and the mountains were covered with snow, just breath taking.
There was a manison at the base of the lake, was built a long time ago, do not remember the date but the cost at the time of building was $250K so that should tell you about how long ago it was, still very pretty and someone still lives there. I did get a photo, all thro my camera does not bring it close enough, there was a lady taking a photo right next to me and I took a look at hers, like I was standing right in front of the house, I think I need more zoom, will check into that hers was a 10 zoom with 8.5 meg-a-pixals.
Well I have found out that this area is very high price in all ways the food, gas even going to the dentist is so much more! Hope the next stop is a better deal with the prices, of course I will let you all know.
It has been very hot here durning the day time for the past week, the evenings are still nice, and as of yesterday the temp's are coming back down to where they should be, so I am told, was 87 yesterday and to be about the same today, thank goodness, I am not much for the 100 degrees!
I will also add one of my favorite photo's, it is of a bunch of daisies, as most of you know it is my favorite flower along with yellow rose's. Just saw this on Sunday, had to take the picture, reminded me of all the daisies I had in VA.
That's about it for now so hope you all doing very well and will write more soon.

July 2009
Hope everyone had a realy nice holiday weekend and enjoyed the 4th. Both Jerry & I were doing our workamping, the holidays are the busiest in a RV park and we don't like to go anywhere on day tripping at that time so we had already told the boss we would be able to work extra on holidays, many, many people desended upon the park, most headed out yesterday some are still here as they use it as a vacation week, am glad the most are gone as it is back to being nice and quiet, the office was non-stop as that is where the store is and they all come in for ice, ice cream and soda's also the teen center is right there so we have to check them in and out and make sure they leave it as they found. Sleep in this morning much later then I have in a long time, was surprised to see it was nine when I woke up, guess I was way more tired then I thought.
Anyway things are still going good and we did a few days trips since I wrote last, went to Lake Tahoe, Carson City and Reno one week and all was pretty, the lake around Tahoe was beautiful Jerry took the tour of the car musem and it took him about two and half hours, he enjoyed of course! I did not want to go in so stayed out and read and took a little walk when I got tried of sitting, all thro the book was so good I got half way thru it as I did not want to stop for long.
We stayed at a motel in Tahoe to go all over and the first morning Jerry said come look, there was a hot air ballon rising, fun to watch, we had a small balcony outside our room so was easy to see.
Next up we went to Amodora city to the flower farm was it every breath taking, so far all we have done has been a joy, of course execpt going round these mountains and it is a good thing Jerry does not mind driving around, I will be glad to get on some stright roads.
Have a meeting at the office to go to so will finish up this tomorrow.

There is a lot of wild life here, comes right past the RV, so can look out the window and see deer, Jerry saw 7 right out the front one morning, we had seen a couple befor that, but seven was a lot for one time, also wild turkey a whole family Mom, Dad and the chicks, fox's and I understand there has been a bear sighting, that'a one I don't want to see!
Went to The Big Trees state park and walked all around, there are some really big redwoods there, also other kinds of very large trees, then rode up to Alpine Lake, pretty and stopped to take pictures of snow on the mountain, also a little futher up was snow on the ground, Jerry got out and made some snowballs!
We have been checking out all the small towns around here, some are a bit larger then here, like the small ones, went to Lodi so we could go to Woodbridge Vineyards, that is Robert Mondavi place, still has the small beginnings of the winery there so you can see how they have grown, now one of the largest in the area, yes Ron I brought a couple bottles, I will be bringing back. This past Wed. went to Jamestown, what a quaint little town, one of the first place were they found gold many years ago, had some nice antique stores and was nice to walk around the town and do a little shopping, as you know can't do much as we don't need it and no where to put it!!
I am on my workamping job tonight and it is very slow, boss gave me some things to do before she left, but am all finish with that, so I thought I would add to the blog while I had the chance to, I bring a book with me on Sat. night as it does get slow. I am here till ten, Jerry works till five on Sat. he stopped in on his way home.
Well that's a wrap for this time and will add more photo's later. Hope all of you are doing well and staying healthy.

Wed. June 3rd
Kind of a cool day so are hanging out at home today, feels pretty good to do nothing but what I want to today, came up to the activities building to use the internet and check my e-mails.
I know I talked about going to the fair in Angels Camp & the frog jumping contest that they have, what I didn't know till we walked around the town of A. C. was just how much they are into this frog jumping! It has been going on for many, many years, have not found out yet how many, but will let you know when I do, but while waking the streets found that there are commeorative plaques celebrating past winners, they have a frog on them with its name and the owers name, found one that dated back to 1942 so we know its been happening since then, the plaques are all along the side walk thru downtown Angels Camp!
We took a tour of a Logging Museum and found out a few things there also, one President Roosevelt helped to get land set aside as public domain for forest reserves, he was everywhere I don't think I had mention that when we took the tour of the mystery house in San Jose that one of the stories we were told is that he came to visit the lady of the house and a worker told him when he ask to see here that if he was there to apply for a job he was to go around back, he left to never come back, so he never met her!
Took a ride into Jackson another small town all thro bigger then Avery, walked around and then on way home stopped to play the slots, and this time I came out with a little more then I went in with. Went past the smallest post office that I think I have ever seen, was the size of an old out house (a one holder) only thing missing was the quarter moon on the door, I didn't write the name of the town down and have forgotten, so when we go that way again I will get it
Jerry took me back to Murphys so we could tour the Ironstone Vineyards, it is one of the largest one in the area, beautiful grounds and they also have an out door theather, where they have many concerts in the summer season, Alan Jackson will be here this summer among many others, but he peaked my interest,as I like him. The owners struck gold many years ago and found a 61 lb crystalline nugget, which they have on display behind glass and in a safe, after it was cleaned it now weights in at 44lb's, they let you go in and walk around, so got a photo. A sit to see!!
Had only went to a few of the wine tasting places before this tour, one was very nice as the lady was very nice to talk to and there were two college graduates also there one was visiting the young lady that lived here, (met in college) so we had fun talking to them also. Did a lot of tasting that day, was almost tippsy!!!
I am really getting into this retirement way of life, sure like doing what-ever I want to! Can hardly beleive that it has been a year, it went by so fast.
I know I talked about going to the fair in Angels Camp & the frog jumping contest that they have, what I didn't know till we walked around the town of A. Friday Morning
This is our first day to workamp here in Avery, Jerry started this morning to learn his job and I will start this afternoon to learn mind. We will work the same days but at different times. Had a few more things happen, my coffee pot went up and our water hose burst, so had to go buy new, the hose was because of being in that AZ sun, don't know what went wrong with coffee pot!
Well Jerry has already taken me across same very narrow roads with lots of twists and turns, was nice when we got to where we were going, a old town that lookd right out of the old west days, will have to go back as I did not have my camera with me, but we will go the long way around!
Have downloaded the photos so will try to put a few in now!

May
Hi to all, we have been in CA. since April 9th and stayed in a small town called Morgan Hills, a friend we met grew up there and referred a lot of things that she thought we would like to do and also was close to San Francisco, so we were there in that area till the 10th of May. Will tell you a little bit about our stay, first we could not get our diretv, had to have some one come out to get it sit up, then had problems with the computer, took it in to be repaired and am still having some trouble with my aol, will think about getting a different e-mail!!! Oh well guess all that could happen if we were staying in one place also, but on a up note, we found this great senior center that had a lot of things going on, like lunch every day a computer room, plus so much more, we went there so I could use their computer while mine was down, also had some really good lunchs, made it very easy on me as we just had a small snack in the eary evening, so I didn't have to cook everyday, so nice! Oh and one of the nicest things was lunch was only $2.00 each, can't beat that, we have found a few centers in different states but so far this hasa been the most active and one of the nicest!
Was able to take the train into San Francisco, about and hour and fifteen min. ride, very nice that we did not have to drive in, took a wonderfull tour, which included a ferry ride over to Sausalito, spent an hour there for walking tour or lunch, by taking the tour we were able to see a lot plus learn, I did take lots of photo's, they will have to wait till next time for me to ad as I have not gotten them down loaded yet, will all that was going on with my computer. It was a long, but very good day, the only thing was my dinner, thought they should have good seafood, so tried the crab cakes, they were just awful!!!!!! Jerry had a good dinner he had oysters and enjoyed.
We are now in Avery, CA. and staying where we will work sixteen hours a week while here, it goes from M. day till L. day. ten not sure what we will do after that, been talking about a few places. We are in the mountains, which I knew we were going to be, but guess didn't think beyound that, where ever we go hav to drive down a mountain side, guess i will get used to it, we have been checking out the small towns around here like Murphys & Angels Camp, all nice, have found some other real quaint small towns, I didn't have my camera with me so will have to go back as the building were most of the ones that were build way back and they have kept them up, have shops in them and they were really neat! Lots of winery's here, ther arte twenty one in Murphys, if I do the taste testing in all of them in one day, Jerry will have to carry me out there and I don't think he wants to do that!! We will go back in to Murphys another time and try some. Jerry went down there yesterday as the fair is here in Angels Camp (went on Friday) fun, but Murphys was like Leesburg, they have all the bikers come every year for the fair they all come to see the frog jumping contest, so we were told, Jerry said bikes were lined up on both sides of the street plus every where else.
That about all my news for now, will try to get the photos in so I can include some next time I update.

Keeping Busy
I know it's been a while, I have limted time on my computer as I need to go to the club house to use to get the free wi-fi, I like it better when can use in my RV at my own pace, but don't want to have to pay the big price to do so, am checking into a few options, so will see!!
Before leaving AZ., when went to lunch at a place called The Landmark, we had been there once before for dinner with some friends and knew we wanted to go back before heading out. Glad we did, Jerry and I both have the salad bar, which is a salad room, anything you can image, plus soup and sweets, we had a ball and left with very full belly's. We also got a history lesson, the building was built in 1909 for a Mormon church, then was the Mesa commnity College, and now The Landmark Restaurant and listed on the National Historic Register, what a place, also lots of old photo's on the wall with plaques, one was of a man named Jack S. Welling who discover a town and named it Pumkinville, he was a wheeler dealer (promoter of gambling) town is now better know as Phoenix, also one photo of the Roosevelt dam being built, found out the brought stone masons over from Italy to build the dam.
Went to Lake Havasu to see the London bridge, spent a couple of days there, small town and not much else to bring you there but the bridge, but glad we went, on to CA. the drive was mostly crops on both side of the road, one side was grape vines and the other was almond trees, arrived in Morgan Hills, and will be here for a few weeks, before going on to Avery, we are seeing lots of good stuff, have been to a few towns to sight see like San Jose where the Winchester Mystery house is, we took the tour, stair steps leading to the ceiling and doors that open to walls, what a place, the grounds are beautiful. Yesterday went into Santa Cruz, nice drive, but bumper to bumper traffic for a long way, as it is a college town plus beach, thought I was in O. C. MD. as the beach and boardwalk looked just like O. C. stopped at a farmers market on the way that we happen upon, got some fresh veg's.
Been wanting to do a few wine tours, Jerry has been holding me back I think he must think I will load up and then he will not have room for his stuff in our little adobe! Did go ton a craft fair @ Casa De Fruta, so was able to do a little tasting there, it was held at the place they have the garlic festival every year in late July, in Gilroy, which is known as the garlic capital of the world. I am learning lots of different things, that I didn't know along with enjoying myself.
One small town we went to on last Friday was San Juan Baltista, what a lovely old town that is, took some photo's and will include a couple, one will be of a garden in a Mexican Rest., we walked thru just to get some photo's.
That's about all for now!

Spring is Near!
Here it is March already, just don't know where the time goes, always thought once I was retired I would have more time to do this, that and the other, I am sure you know what I mean, seems you just can't get it all in, but I am trying!!
We findly took the Dolly boat ride on the Canyon Lake, choose a good day, we did that last Thurs. and enjoyed all, nice breeze blowing and was a sunny day, the sights were good and got some nice photos, will include a couple. Friday night they had a comdy show here at the park and some singing, got to go free since we work for the activities director, we can go to any of the shows they have and also when ever they have dinner, it is all free to us, so we do get a few perks! There was a roado in town this past week-end also, along the way to where we went to get on for boat ride, there was the largest out door grill sit-up there, I will post the photo so you can see it.
Our time here is getting short and we will be ready to go on to our next place, that will be in Avery, Ca. we will play along the way as don't have to check in till the 18th of May, we are looking forward to being there, as all we want to see and do is with-in any where from one to three hours away, the RV park is gated and a family park.
More Later!

We just got home from The Arizona Opry and did we both have a good surpise as I thought it was going to be mostly a country show, it was so much more, not only did I get my country but we both got the old rock & roll along with some big band also, all we had been told is don't miss going to this show, am so very glad we went as it was a fantistic day, the show was great it is called the Barleens Az Opry dinner theatre, we went to after-noon show, this show was started more then 30 years ago by the Barleen family and over the years the older ones have retired and the twins sisters have continue along with family members and other very talened people, Barbara is married to George Staerkel who was with the Tokens many years ago, they were know for the Lion Sleeps Tonight (which he did) he plays about any horn instrument that you can name and he played most in the show also he can still hit those high notes, he also plays the key board, needless to say we did have a good day.
The weather is also back to the high 70's so that makes it nice, don't have to keep the door & windows closed, very good to get the breeze abd fresh air to flow thru.

Has been cold here again most mornings its been 35 to 38 degrees, good thing is it does get nice and warm durning the day, kind of like Fl, but no bugs I still like that!
Have been staying busy what with doing our workamping and running around or just taking it easy on ours free days, we still like to go to the flee markets and thriff stores, went to a chruch sale last Friday and came a way with a couple of good treasures, got a mirror (still in orginal box) for a whole $1.00 and a nice throw rug for .25 cents, don't you just love it!!! My brother-in-law Ron keeps telling Linda that we are going to be over loaded and filled up with things, I don't think so! I still want to be able to move, all thro I have to keep my eye on Jerry, he is still worse then I am when it comes to buying.
Jerry got to go to the Barrett & Jackson car auction, he had always said that was something he wanted to do if we were near and we were as it was in Scottdale, about 40 minutes from from where we are, needless to say he had a really enjoyable day.
Last month we went on a bus trip to a casino in Payson about 1 1/2 hours from here a fun day was had by all and even better it was a lucky day for Jerry hit a good jack pot on the penny machine, so he came back a winner plus he was able to still play the rest of the time we were there, was not my day but look out next time, as we will car trip there again so we can go into town also and look around the area, it is also a very pretty ride, nice to go on the bus trips as that gives Jerry a chance to sight see and he can relax while someone else does the driving
Went to a car show Sat. and did that bring back some good menories, there was a 37 Ford, like the first one Jerry restored and also a 39 another like he did, no 30 Ford, plus so many more, some we had never seen before, a lot of walking but that is good as we both need it! That night went to an Western show and supper, they serve everything on tin plates & cups, said just like they did back when thye were riding the trails, also took a horse & wagon ride, all was a good time.
There was snow all around us last week and out our front window is the Superstition Mt's and they were covered, so pretty to look at I posted a photo and that is snow right under the clouds.
Will go to a good old country music show this Sat and I am looking forward to that, Jerry not so much as county is not his 1st choice, we both like the 50's & 60's the he goes for big band, country is way down on his list, but I will be tapping my feet, and I have caught him a time or two where he is enjoying it also, so am sure he will have just as much fun as I will! There is a comedy show coming up at the end of the month at the club house here at the park and we will go to that, they have been here before and we are told that they are really good,so we signed up.
I know some of you didn't know that in Dec. we changed RV parks and we are really glad we did as we were in the country before which we like and the park was nice and pretty, just we were sooooooooooooo far away from everything, to go to the food store it was a 44 mile round trip. Here we are 5 minutes from most everything, I can even walk to the closest shopping center and I have done that. A few more benifits here also. It is a nice park and roads are black top so easier to walk around the park. Was a good choice! I do miss the people we had made friends with, but we can keep in touch. E-Mail is a good thing.
Will write about how good the country show is next time and also will try not to take to long between post.

We had a good Dec and Christmas, was quite different this year our first one on the road, but very pleasent, we had dinner with 200 people some we had already made friends with, all the food was excellent at least what I tried was and of course ate way to much.
Went shopping at Wal Mart early on in the month (go at least once a week) something just draws me there!!! Any way we saw something most different, there were about six men on horse back riding the parking lot so we stopped and ask what was going on, they were all rangers and they parole the lot durning the month of Dec, did not start this year at the beginning of month as were told company needed to cut back, well all the customers wanted to know where they were and when told they started making calls, and the company had so many calls they brought them back to finish out the month, they have been doing this for the past six years, kind of nice to see them there, guess the regulars got used to them being there, so it did make a difference!
Went for a beautiful ride thru Gold Canyon and will go back to take the Dolly Steam Boat tour one day soon, was way to cold that day, in fact for about a week we were wondering if indeed we were in AZ. as it was cold and rainy, had the heat on both day and night! All is good now the days are back to high 70's and cooler in morning and evening, very enjoyable!
New Years Eve was spent at a camp fire right across form our site and we all had pizza and lots of good conversation, early evening as none of us made it till midnight!
Yesterday went into Fountain Hills, it is best known for their fountain which goes off every hour for about 15 minutes and shoots three hunderd and thirty feet into the air using one nozzel with seven air jets, there is another nozzel and they use it for back up, but can be used all together and it shoots up five hundred and sixty feet. Got a few photos and will try to get one down loaded.
Looking forward to this year being even better than last as we are very blessed to be able to travel around the US and seeing all that we can and making new friends along the way!
Wishing all my family and friends a VERY HEALTHY, BLESSED AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!
