Can you beleive that it is Dec already, don't know where the time has gone, but do know that Jerry and I are having the time of our lives and enjoying every minute of it.
We try to go some where at least a couple times a week to see the area all around us here in Az., so this is what we have been up to since I last posted!
Went to Boyce Thompson Arboretum (State Park & Gardens) what a nice day we had, learn that there is way more cactus and many different kind then I would have ever thought, some are very pretty but sticky so don't get too close, some have flowers and others don't, some grow into trees, like the Cholla Cactus, which I think is very pretty when it is a small tree, not so much when they get very big, the birds like these and you would think that they would get pricked when they land on them, but guess not as they are always in the trees, we have a few of them right outside on the site and lots more in the distance! We see lots of birds land on them and talking about birds, they are not afraid to get close to people as one landed right on Jerry's leg whilehe was sitting outside, you can clap your hands and they just look at you, like what!! Fun to see them getting so close!
Next up was the Youth Rodeo and what a good time we had watching all the young kids, boys and girls, ride, rope and being bucked all around on the bulls and horses, most of the horses were way bigger then the kids, neat to see them get on and off. They also had the Queen and her court, all very pretty and dressed from cowgirl hat down to the boots! (very neat)
This week we went into Tucson and looked around, but most of the day was spent at Old Tucson, where many movies were made, plus quite a few T V shows, like Big Valley, Little House, High Chaparral, plus so many more, John Wayne made many movies there and they had a short film on him. Lotsof fun!
Wed. night we went into Mesa to meet two of the couples we made friends with while in S. D. this past summer, went to a place called Organ Pizza, best know for their Organ which is a Wrestzler and they have someone playing from 4:30 till closing and they take requests, was a good time had by all and the pizza was great!
Back to Mesa yesterday as we needed new tires for the car, so made a day of it, got tires, walked the mall had dinner and then on the way back stopped in Apache Junction at a few junks stores and the Goodwill stores, can't seem to pass by them, (old habit), but Jerry was looking for jacket that is made of that soft material but is very warm, well we went to all three on the way back and findly hit pay dirt on the last one! It is now getting cooler in the evenings.
Tomorrow we will again go into Apache Junction to see what the big flee market is all about, one of the lady's that I have made friends with, goes about every other week, keeps asking have we went yet, so will see tomorrow what the draw is!

First off we have not been up to much the past couple of weeks, kind of been taken life easy and just enjoying the beautiful weather and the park! This week we took the tour of the Florence musem and learned some more history of the town, Florence is one of the oldest towns in AZ. and is also the home of the longest running Youth Rodeo, (1930) which is coming up Thanksgiving week-end and we are looking forward to attending, should be lots of fun and very interesting as the youngest one to perform is 5 years old! (can't wait to see the kids perform). This Thanksgiving will be different for us also as we will spend it with our new friends in the park and all will make something (pot luck) of course there will be turkey & ham, and Nancy will make a couple of things that both of us really like to have with turkey, most of my family will know what they are! Jerry would disappointed if we did not have, ( you know how spoiled he is).
Well since we have been living in our RV since April, I have found that the kitchen is just not big enough, I just don't like having to move lots of stuff to be able to cook and then put it back and so on!!! So we had been looking around at other RV's and found one with a nice size kitchen plus a lot of things that were included, and with the sales they are having got us a good deal so we made a trade for a new one! Got a Voyage by Winnabago, very nice with a good amount of counter space. We have never moved from one RV to another so what a choir, but we are in and settled, and I don't mind cooking now that I don't have to do extra work to cook!!!!! As soon as we get new photo will post it!

A Little update, so far we are enjoying the nice evenings sitting on the patio with-out the flying bugs all around us, what a joy! Also with-out it being humid, that is really cool, it is still hot durning the day time but morning & evening are just great. Am learning different things too, like they grow a lot of cotton here we can drive down the highway and all you see is the cotton, have been able to view full fields and watch as the big machine picks and puts into bails, I did not not know that cotton was one of the main products that came from Az. and that they have three crops of cotton a year. Always thought most of it came from Ga.
There will be many activities starting this month at the club house and we are looking forward to joining in on some of them. We are glad we choose this park as it is not going to be as full as some of the others and that keeps it a little more private and with the lot size being much bigger then other parks. Have met a lot of nice people.

The traveling Cutler's
We spent most of the summer in S. D. and made one RV park our home base and did most of our sight seeing from there, the park was a nice place to call home as they had lots of activities and every Fri & Sat they had a show, plus so much more, and we were able to visit the areas that we had planned on from there, Jerry took me to Sturgis before the Big Bike Event and then when all was going on, what a difference, you would have thought you were in another town, not the sleepy little town he first took me to.
We have been on the move for the past two months from SD to AZ. First up was a few small towns in WY and also Cody so we could tour the Buffalo Bill museum, what a place took two days for that it is so big, then on to Yellowstone to Id, up next was Utah and The Zion National Park, to Bryce Cannon, and Bryce is a site to behold, sorry to say that I won't have any photo's from there as I hit the delete button on my camera and lost two weeks of photos from that time period (very sad) guess I will have to remember them in my mind or else go back again! Before making our home in Desert Gardens RV Park (located in Florence) for the winter we spent time in Sedona and Verde Valley to visit that area, while in Sedona we were able to meet up with some good friends and have lunch and spend some time visiting with them as they were there for a few days, was good to see them and catch up.
The park we have choosen is very pretty and lots of cactus and cactus trees, some I have never seen before, we have a great site as we back up to the walking path and on one side is future developement, so a pretty view while we are out on the patio to relax or whatever!
