Just an update on what is going on in our every day life as I mention in last post we have purchased a home base in S. C. thought we would get things sorted out and go to a workamp position for the summer, but a few things have cropped up to keep us put for the summer.
We did get all the painting in house done and looks good, I can tell you I am not a painter and don't like doing it, saved a lot of money by doing it ourselfs, so that was a good thing and what I thought about while doing it! Jerry has moved on to the outside and has put the mulch in around the house with a few plants and shrubs, of course he wants lots more, keep telling him can't do it all at once and Rome wasn't built in a day also he he could get it all done I would be afriad that he would want to up and move me out again and I am just not up to all that, unless it would be back to full timing in the RV, he wants to stay put and is willing to take me to the few other places that I want to go, am trying to work on getting some thing for the winter months and if not it will be next summer as we already have a position starting in mid May, I will look forward to that!
Well yesterday I met an old from from school,we had lost touch, but have found each other again, she lives in Charlotte, NC and we are only two hours from each other, we met for lunch and talked for four hours catching up, what good memiores we have and so much fun to learn about what is going on is each others lives, will look forward to our next visit as she said we need to do an over night one, just not enough time in one short visit to remember everything we want to say. Ann brought some photos from when we were younger and I don't think either of us look so different, just a little more muture, I know some would say better get your eyes checked and that is ok we all see each other different but that is the way I see both of us.
Cna hardly beleive that we are headed into May, I just don't know where all the time goes to, I get up and do a few things and this is when I have nothing planed and after breakfast I turn around and its time to fix dinner. I am getting tired of cooking and never thought I would be in that position, don't like to eat out all the time as then it would not be a treat, I think its coming up with whats for dinner tonight, as I could get by on salads and such but Jerry likes his meat and I can't get by with just the salad thing except now and then, it is good he likes his soup, all kinds so when don't feel like being in the kitchen I can heat up some that I keep in the freezer!
Don't have too much to write about since we are staying put right now, but will keep all posted one what is going on now and then.
Hope all my friends and family have a great summer! Till next time!

Hello from S. C.
Hi to all my family and Friends, boy has it been a long time since I have blog and have a lot of catching up to do, since I was last on we left the position in N. C. as was so hot there and I worked in the office/store that did not have air, could not take it any longer but I sure gave it my best shot, we were to work for three months and we stayed for two and half, just not used to taking care of customers with sweat running down my face!! Anyway we stayed closer to my younger sister in a near by RV park so that was nice, then onto KY. for my position with Amazon, we were there for twelve weeks, was a first for me to work on a receiving line, was not really hard to do but very tired when we finished in the evening, worked four ten hour days and off for three, the work days went very fast as we were busy from start to finish, I guess we had worked about a month and everyone was asking would you do this again, and at that point I thought no don't think so, but by the time we finished up and we all had gottten the hang of it I would do it again as the twelve weeks went by very fast. We did not get in a lot of sight seeing as did not want to go to far on days off. Jerry was a big help as he did not work so he took care of being the cook and having dinner just about ready when I got home that sure was a treat for me as by time I got home and took a bath sure did not feel like I wanted to cook, it was more like eat sleep and work, havee to say we make quite a few new friends and most of them are going to be returning for the next season, I will not reture to KY. but if something comes up in their new plant in S. C. I am on the list for there.
Well most of my family knows by now that we purchased a home base in S.C. about ten miles from my younger sister, Jerry wanted a place to plant his feet again a little sooner then I had thought we would, knew it was in our furture and they had so many bank owned homes on the market we decided to look while in the area and if found what we needed would buy it and long story short found a small place with a fenced in back yard that RV fits nicely in so here we are for the winter and will travel this summer to some unknown place, have been putting our resume in on the east coast but in a cooler area, so hoping that something that we will like will come thru.
We had snow and lots of ice while in KY, which all had informed us that never happens at that time of the year, but we sure did get it, was glad to get on the road and in S.C. where there again they don't get much snow, well we had a white Christmas and then a couple of weeks after had six inch's, they really played it up by lettingus know what was coming so we had lots of box's that we had stored at my sister home so got a good many and brought them over so while all snowed in got them unpaced and put away, even got some pictures hung. Needness to say Jerry is looking forward to better weather, he has been a tropper tho with having to buy a snow shovel and do the thing outside, just enought so he could walk up the walk and part of the drive as we had no plans on going anywhere, I was content just looking out at the pretty snow, did go out and take a few photos, will post a couple for all to see!
I had a hard time at first getting back to staying up later like I like to do, as when working I was in bed befor nine, most of the time it was by eight, now I am back to being a night owl, having a hard time going to bed and sleeping, like now I am wide awake, maybe I need to have a glass of wine so it will put me to sleep!!
Do hope all my friends and family are doing very well and wish you all a Happy Healthy and Blessed New Year!

Well we have been here for a month now and have found it is hotter then it is suppose to be durning the day time hours and has been nice in the eveings (thank goodness) of course Jerry loves the weather as the heat does not bother him as much as it does me, this morning was just great a nice 58 degrees and so far should be a very nice day as not supposed to get any higher then 82, hope this is true!! The R V park we are staying in this summer is way more primtive then we were told, I do belieive it is more for tents and pop-ups and also travel trailers, all the other workampers are in fifth wheels and have been coming here for four years, two of the couples say it will be their last as they want to go else where for a change, came blame them as I would not want to come back for a second year, all our co-workers are very nice couples and really have taken to the ones right next to us, they work in Leesburg in the winter months really the park is in Fruitland Park not far from where we lived and we had applied there for last winter but they were all filled up, it is a youth camp and Ellen and Henry said they love going back there and have been doing so for four years, said the people treat them great! She is a retired school teacher and he retired from the service. They love working with the kids.
We are enjoying our time here, just would not enjoy more then one season here, as it would get old with no activties for us older people, our days off we have been out exploring what is all around us, been to some of the near by towns, they are quint and have lots of shops and antique shop thast we still like to wonder thru also been going for bike rides, which has been fun and cooling. Went to Minga Falls the other day had to climb 160 steps and then a little trail, but was worth every step we did as it was a sight to see, took a few photos.
We had company last week-end our friends Bob & Karen came for the week-end, we at first thought they would be able to stay here in the park in one of the cabins, but after we got here found out the cabins are just like a tent only in a small building, no air or water, just a place to sleep, for people who do not like to sleep on the ground!! So they stayed off site about two miles from park in a motel, we enjoyed their visit and was a fast two and a half days of fun!
Had a nice surpise yesterday our nephew Scott and wife Rebecca stopped by for a short visit, he had let us know they would be in ther area with two other couples for vacation and lots of bike riding around the mountains and would try to stop, were glad they did was a quick visit but very nice to see the both of them.
Thats about all for now, hope all are doing well and enjoying your summer!

Cherokee N. C.
Hi to all, we reported for duty in Cherokee this morning and will be working here for the summer, got in yesterday about 4:30, long day on the road but hardly any traffic guess its good to travel on the holiday as most people are where they want to be and don't leave for home till late in the day so was a very good trip, had some rain for a while but did not last all that long, they said it was a very bad storm here so was glad to get here after, the road ways into camp are muddy in places as they are not paved, very nice park and am sure we will enjoy are stay here, the owner welcome us with a big hug and the the other workampers told us to get sit up and come back up for a bite to eat and we did just that, a nice welcome indeed. We have a nice shady spot and already like the couple right next to us (workampers also) spent part of this day looking around the town and found Wal Mart, 13 miles from park so not bad!
We spent the past six weeks visiting with family and friends, first in S. C. and then in MD., in S.C. got to attend my nephews college gradutation and was very nice to do so. In Maryland got to get reaquinted with family I either had not seen since they were very little or were not born, what fun, also to have the sister time with ones I had not seen in at least four or five years and also with my brother lots of fun and laugh's, was able to also get to be with some of Jerry's nephews and meet their kids! I got to have my girl-friend week-end and its like we just saw each other yesterday we pick up where we left off the last time we were together, will look forward to the next time.
We did enjoy all our time with everyone, would have been nice if my other two sisters could have been there also! Maybe next time!!
Boy did we eat the seafood while there, thought I had enough, but could go for lots more, all was good at all the different places we ate. We will not have to let as much time go by before going back for another visit!!!!
Time to fix dinner and I had just gotten used to not cooking very much, kind of hard to get back in the groove, guess I will have to let Jerry start getting into the kitchen and be cook!! Or Not.
When I get the photos down loaded will add the next time on. Hope all are doing well and have a great summer.

Jan. 9, 2010 Sat.
Can you believe it is now 2010 and we are in sunny FL. where we watched it snow this AM, did not stick to the ground but was all over our steps and table, seems kind of funny! It has been so cold here for the past week and a half, that it is really hard to believe that we are in FL., after living in Central Fl. for twelve years and hardly ever wearing a coat, I have not been with-out one for like it seems forever, I really don't like to wear a coat, many times we would start out early in the morning and I would have a t-shirt then a sweat shirt on, but by the mid morning was down to my t-shirt. Last year as most of you know we were in AZ. it is warmer there so the weather man has been telling us, who knows maybe back there next year!
Well we had a very nice Thanksgiving, we spent it with my sister Mary and her family, good day for all of us and ate way too much, but was really good.
Christmas was spent with Linda and her family, Aaron and Taylar came down from Va. and my Princess has gotten so tall (tall & skinny). Fun time for all.
Have not been up to much since then expect going to the movies a couple of times, will be glad when the weather gets back to where it is suppose to be so can get out to the flee markerts to walk around them and see if we can find some bargains, am not really looking for anything, but you never know when something might just jump out to you and say take me home!!!
If you have not been to see The Blind-Side movie, you need to go as it is not only funny but very heart warming also a true story.
Thats about it for now so am wishing everyone a Very Happy and Healthy New Year!

Hi to all, wanted to update my story about trains and prison's, as you all know we are in Ormond Beach Fl. and there is a train near by so near sounds like its coming thru at times, don't think we have ever been that close, lots of noise, and then we had to go to Leesburg for Jerrys Dr and on the way about 20 to 25 miles guess what we passed a prison!!!!!!!!!!!! We were led to beleive that this was a quiet small park, well it is a small park and the park itself is quiet, but lots of noise from the train and planes and we are on a busy highway, think next time we will check all this out first, I will ask more questions about all these things. The people who own the park are nice so that does help and the work is not hard, in fact not enough work for me! As Jerry said we can take anything for short time periods. Am sure we will get used to the train noise and not even hear it after a while, we will see. All else is good and the weather is getting better, not so humid as when we first got here. Thank goodness!
Wishing all a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Well we have had a very busy last few days, I had a dentist appt. on Thurs. morning in Leesburg, so we made a day of it and went all over the place stopped at a few thrift stores and found a few small items, also a pretty top that I don't think anyone has ever had on their body before, at the big cost of $.50, don't you just love it!
Friday we spent the day with some friends we had made in AZ. who were also workampers, they now live in Flagger Beach and are just loving it, found out after two years on the road wanted to be back in a home, well they have a nice place thats backs up to a marsh area, makes it nice and private and they are three blocks from the beach, we went to farmers market and of course some thrift stores as Lee likes them, as much as we do, her husband Leigh not so much but he was very patient with us then onto their favorite place to eat on the beach called Finn's, we sit up on the upper deck overlooking the ocean and all our food was very good indeed! Was a fun day and nice to be able to renew our friendship.
Back out there again today had read about a big yard sale so thought we would hit it this am, not as big as the ad said but was nice to look around, spent a whole $.90, so I am a happy camper, went to breakfast, so that was also nice, then onto the big flea market in Daytona, walked all over and got lots of exerise, this was all new stuff, not Jerry's kind of flea market but he did need the walking and that was good for him and me also, I think I tried him out, will res tup tomorrow.
I have signed up for a big sale on the 21st so I can try selling my jewerly and other items that I have been making, so everyone keep a good thought for me! Will let you know how I did afterwards.
Posting some photos from yesterday, one of the Page's and a couple of the ocean, we stopped to take on the way home.
